Whose Crazy Idea Was THIS???

It has been a pretty busy week around here. We enjoyed the weekend - Jason was off on Saturday, which is ALWAYS nice! It just seems to make the weekends more fun to have him around the whole time. We hung out with some friends, made it to church, the guys had base ball practice (the first of the season ... and it was a GORGEOUS day outside for it), and then had ChristCare Group in the evening. Then the week started up again way too soon, as it always does.
Here is Meggan's latest bed. She now "camps out" with Jordan in his room on the floor instead of sleeping on our floor. We wait until he goes to sleep and then she goes in there and lays down on the floor and goes to sleep. This was all her idea ... hey, whatever works; right?!?!?!?! I'm thinking they will be sharing a room with bunkbeds here in the next year or so...
Testing it out!

Sunday before Jason left for base ball practice, we were outside playing for a while. The neighbors had a skateboard ramp set up, so we had to try it out. (Don't worry - Jason was right beside them both the whole time). First, Meggan went over it with her bike, and then Jordan had to follow with the stroller he was pushing around at the moment.
Monday we had dance class. Tuesday I went to dinner and baby shower gift shopping for my little sister, Crystal. Yesterday I was stuck in my job that started at 9:00 a.m. and ended around 6:30 or so. Then tonight we got home and played outside, which was when Jason got the great idea to take Meggan's training wheels off of her Barbie bike. We thought she was pretty close to ready, but I'm not so sure now... We'll see! She did only start today.

One of the first trial runs!

Just gearing up for another fun weekend now, although Jason does have to work this Saturday (bummer)! It's not supposed to be nice weather, so maybe we'll even get some things done inside the house (sorting through closets, drawers, etc.) We just all love to be outside and could stay out there for hours at a time. We'll see on that one too!
I don't have a job tomorrow but have one that I need to work on getting done. I think I might just pick Meggan up in "early car line" at 11:45 and we'll enjoy the afternoon until Jordan wakes up from his nap at Nancy's and go grab him a little early too! Hope everyone has had a great week and is looking forward to the weekend! :)

Silly kids! Don't even ask...

The Finished Product!

I'm finally getting around to snapping a few pictures and posting them. I got all the new bathroom accessories put together on Monday afternoon and then Jason, Micah, Jer, and Mark were here on Monday evening and got the couches and big-screen TV and the piano and all that fun stuff put back together. It's so nice to have it all done ... and we're just so pleased with how it all turned out!!!

The kids after their bath on Monday night! I put Meggan's towel around her like this and then Jordan wanted to do the same thing ... I just caught a picture before he decided he was done with that idea! :)

Other than that, this week has been pretty much the same old, same old. We had ChristCare Group on Sunday evening and had lots of fun getting the group back together again. Then we had dance class on Monday night and then the guys came over and helped lift all the heavy stuff back in so we had our friends here to play until it started getting darker out and was time for a bath and to get to bed. Last night was another beautiful night and so we played outside until it was time to come in as the kids were getting worn out and tired from a couple later nights of playing! Tonight is choir practice at church, and then we'll be doing baths again and getting to sleep.

The kids' new bathroom decor (if you just could have seen their faces when each of them saw it ... they were priceless)!

Our new tile bathroom!!!

The living room and front room floor!

The new kitchen floor (we still need to get a new window blind there above the sink)!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far! Hope you enjoyed the pictures! :)

Looking Good!!!

Here are a few pictures of the new flooring! We're so thrilled with how it all turned out!!! Now if we can just get this house put back together...
Little bit bright with the sunshine today, but this is the new kitchen flooring into the living room!

Here's the living room/front room and the laminate flooring!

Here's the kids' bathroom (it has a sage green countertop, so this fit perfectly)! The decor will also be changed soon, so don't mind the fact that our poor almost 18-month-old son has been bathing with the Disney Princesses...

Finally, our new bathroom tile!!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Ours is quickly passing by, as always...

What We've Been Waiting For!!!

We are getting new flooring installed tomorrow! The excitement around here is hard to contain! We have been wanting to replace our linoleum in the kitchen for AT LEAST the last 2 years. It started pulling away by some of the counters and even has a complete seam that is pulled apart near our sliding glass door. It looks ridiculous and drives us crazy!

So we decided to take the leap and just do it! Good riddance to the stupid linoleum and the wearing-out carpet and also to having carpet in the bathrooms (who in the world does that?)! I promise I will post some pictures either tomorrow or Sunday of the progress and/or finished product.

Until then, pray that we can keep our sanity with our house in disarray... :)

I Was Tagged!

Okay ... so I'm procrastinating! I was reading a friend's blog real quick before I started working on finishing up the last 30 pages of my job that I want to turn in tomorrow, and I got tagged in a fun blogging picture game and decided I'd give it a whirl. Then I'm going to work, I swear!

It said to open your 6th picture folder and post the 6th picture in there, so here you have it:

It's a picture of Meggan after getting her hair and makeup done at Libby Lu last summer sometime! The guys were off to a base ball game after church and all of us girls decided we better have a fun time at Libby Lu (oh, yeah, and poor Jordan too)!

I hope you enjoyed this, Kaylan! Everyone have a wonderful Monday tomorrow!

Another Busy Weekend!

We had lots of fun this weekend, but I don't have any pictures of it. I know ... you get a new camera and then don't even have it close by so you can snap a few pictures here and there!

We went over to Micah and Angi's house to hang out on Saturday for supper and just fun time with friends! Meggan ended up staying the night (of course...) and we're not too sure how much they actually slept. Meggan actually took a nap this afternoon, so I'm pretty sure they didn't get a whole lot of sleep! Little stinkers ... already trying to pull all-nighters??? :)

We just enjoyed the beautiful weather and got some much-needed fresh air!!! It was a bit cooler today with some rain in the morning and early afternoon, but then the sun came out and it was another great weather day so we had to take a walk to enjoy it a little bit. It was pretty windy, however, but it was still fun!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I'll post a couple pictures soon, I promise!!! :)

Will Spring Just Come Already?

I have to admit that I'm just completely tired of winter. It has been a LONG winter this year, and the month of February just about did us in! I'm so tired of the poor kiddos being sick ...

Meggan has the stomach flu again. She just had it last Sunday and was home Monday (although it wasn't really too bad of a bug or whatever) and then she ended up vomiting again this Sunday evening while we were at our friends' house. They said they didn't mind, but we still felt so bad!!! :) She seems to be on the mend, although we even kept her home today just to make sure she got a little extra rest and got her energy and immune system built back up to fight off the germs at school. We'll see ...

So far, so good for Jordan this go-round. He was home last week on Monday and Tuesday because he had followed right in Meggan's footsteps and vomited in the wee-morning hours of Monday. He seemed to have it a little worse than she did last week, so maybe he got the real thing and won't catch it again this time??? He doesn't seem to have picked it up this time (knock on wood). As for his ears, he seems to be doing just great! He doesn't mess with them at all, except when we put the drops in there. He doesn't seem to be much of a fan of that! He's a champ since his tubes have been put in, and we just can't seem to give him enough food (typical boy; right?). He's like a bottomless pit!!! :)

Other than that, not much to report here. Just trying to survive the end of winter and REALLY looking forward to the spring weather (hopefully soon)! I am hoping that will mean the end of some of Jordan's other stuff (daily steroid, breathing treatments, etc.), but we'll see what happens when that gets here. He has his 18-month doctor appointment scheduled for April 8, so we'll see what is in store once we talk to Dr. Gloyeske. I still have high hopes that maybe he won't have to do this stuff all through the other months too!

It's just hard to believe that before we know it Meggan will be turning 5 years old ... how the time truly does fly by! Jordan is already almost 1 1/2 years old, and that just doesn't seem possible either. How do our babies grow up so fast???

Don't have too many pictures from the last few days, but I will post a couple. Jordan was ADAMANT that he help us vacuum on Friday morning - he simply wouldn't give up. Then there are a couple of Meggan at her first swimming lesson on Saturday morning. Enjoy!
Jordan's vacuuming is pretty slow-going!
So Daddy decided to just have him "help" instead!
Just can't wait to get INTO the water!
Have to practice their kicks first (also known to most 4- or 5-year-olds as how high can we splash)!
